Liz Johnson, CREW Trust Volunteer Photographer
"Before Hurricane Ian and Hurricane Milton made it difficult, I mostly visited the beaches of Southwest Florida. Discovering the CREW Trust trails introduced me to entirely new ecosystems, and, as a result, I formed a deeper connection to the natural Florida landscape, which has become vital to my physical and mental health.
Volunteering my time and skills to CREW Trust is a way to show my gratitude for the existence and maintenance of the trails. It allows me to contribute to communicating the importance of protecting these lands to the public and neighboring communities, which I feel is more important now than ever before."
